On Eagles, Lions and Things to come. Prophecies in the Late-medieval Holy Roman Empire.
In his project, Manuel Kamzin on the one hand investigates the so-called Veniet Aquila prophecy. This prophecy appears in its complete version in the 15th century, but it takes up symbolisms and figures that go back much further. In addition, there are overlaps with other prophetic texts and historiographical mentions of alleged fragments that were previously comprehensible. The prophetic fragments were continually connected to diverse political actors and events by various protagonists. On the other hand, he is taking a closer look at the spread of prophecies across the realms in medieval Europe.
