Curriculum Vitae
My name is Yang Gang. At present, I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Dunhuang Studies, University of Lanzhou. I was a joint PhD student at Sichuan University and Ghent University and just completed a doctoral double-degree at these institutions, with my doctoral thesis A Study on the Relationship Between Medieval Chinese Buddhism and the Practice of Divination under the supervision of Prof. Xiang Chu (Sichuan University) and Prof. Dr. Christoph Anderl (Ghent University).
During the last several years, my research interest has mainly focused on History of Chinese Buddhism, Literature of Chinese Buddhism, Popular Chinese Culture,Buddhism in Dunhuang and Buddhist Prognostication and Divination.
